LED lighting exports exceeded $2.6 billion in the first quarter of 2017

1. The export of Q1LED lighting products in 2017 is over $2.6 billion 

 

In the first quarter of 2017, the total export volume of LED lighting products in China reached us $26.21 billion, up 17.9 percent year-on-year, continuing the slow growth of 2016. 

 

The ranking of export enterprises 

 

In recent years, with the global economic situation and the development of the LED industry in China, more and more enterprises are sailing overseas, and the competition of LED lighting export enterprises is increasingly fierce. 

 

In 2017, there are 7,800 LED lighting products export enterprises in China, and the top 30 enterprises have a total export volume of $737 million, accounting for less than 30%. The overall concentration is small and the competition is fierce. 

 

The top 10 companies, as the chart below shows, total exports of only $370 million, or less than 15%. 

 

Iii. Type analysis of LED lighting products 

 

In 2017, the type of Q1 export product is in line with 2016, except for 36.17 percent of the unlighted lamps, the bulb lamp, the tube lamp and the lamp strip are still in the third place. 

 

The bulb was the first with a total of $492 million in exports, accounting for 18.77 percent of the total, more than double the amount in the same period of 2016. 

 

The second was the pipe light, with exports of $275 million, accounting for 10.84 percent, up 25.22 percent from a year earlier. 

 

The third was the light bar, with exports of $142m, accounting for 5.43%, down 0.04% from a year earlier. 

 

The export zones are concentrated in Europe, Asia and the United States 

 

Most of the export of LED lighting products in China is mainly concentrated in Europe, Asia and North America. In 2017, the total number of LED lighting products is nearly 90%. 

 

Asia and North America accounted for nearly three percentage points more than the same period in 2016. 

 

On a year-on-year basis, there was a decline in Oceania, down 14.72 per cent. The fastest year-on-year growth was in Latin America, at 42.4 per cent. 

 

The United States ranks first in exporting countries 

 

In Q1 of 2017, the us topped the list of the 10 countries with the most LED lighting products in China, with the us winning the title for $720 million, up almost a third from the same period in 2016. 

 

Hong Kong, China, was second with $187 million, up 67.34 percent year on year, the fastest growing region in the top 10. 

 

The third quarter was Germany, and imported China‘s LED lighting products for $121 million, up 0.78 percent year on year.
